1. Restaurante Cuetzala
This restaurant is open from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm from Tuesday through Sunday. You can find them at 7360 North Clark Street in Chicago. Enjoy all of your favorite Mexican and Tex-Mex classics like enchiladas, chile rellenos, and nachos. 2. Fiesta en Tuxpan Mexican Grill
Inspired by the cuisine of Tuxpan in Mexico’s state of Veracruz, this restaurant has been open at 4949 Oakton Street in Skokie, a couple of miles northwest of Lincolnwood, for over ten years. They are open from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm from Monday through Saturday. You can order tacos, burritos, salads, and more. Try the tacos de nopal with prickly pear cactus.
3. El Sabor Poblano
Located at 7027 North Clark Street in Chicago, El Sabor Poblano opens at 9:00 am from Wednesday through Monday and closes at 9:00 pm on weeknights and 10:00 pm on weekends. Try one of the delicious pueblo specialties like picaditas, corn masa patties topped with various meats, cheese, sour cream, and salsas.
4. Taquería El Charro I
You can find this taco restaurant at 6661 North Clark Street, also about three miles east of Lincolnwood in Chicago. They are open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm seven days a week, making El Charro the perfect stop for breakfast, lunch, or dinner no matter the day. If you are craving Mexican food in the morning, try the huevos rancheros.
5. El Pecado Mexican Restaurant
El Pecado can be found at 6922 North Clark Street in nearby Chicago, and they are open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Try the delicious birria tacos, or a stuffed masa called a gordita. El Pecado also serves aguas frescas and fresh-squeezed juices to satisfy your thirst the authentic Mexican way.
